Pipilotti Rist

This weekend was a little longer than usual and I didn't mind that at all..
On Thursday, after going to Baden with some friends eating lunch and spending some time together in the park, I went to my dad's hairdressing salon to take some pictures for him since he's about to get a new website designed..
After hurrying home and getting my microphones and other recording stuff, I met up with a friend of mine who plays the drums. We meant to record a bit but in the end we only had a really amazing jam session :)

On Friday me and my mum went to Zürich in the morning because there's an art exhibition of Pipilotti Rist, a Swiss video-artist, which we wanted to see. Her video installations are really cool and unique and it was a great exhibition! Really calming with lots of lights and nice music too.

In the afternoon I wanted to meet with another friend to make some music but unfortunately we canceled our plans since he participated at a musical-performance of Kiss Me Kate where lots of my friends participated too.
And that's where I went on Saturday evening with my parents, to see this cool performance at our town theatre. I didn't participate at the musical because the piano voice is really hard and it'd taken me quite a while to learn it and I did not have that time at the moment, so I don't regret my decision. But it was really nice to see all of my friends singing and playing their instruments altogether with the cool theatre performance :)

Amadeus Theatre & Workshop at Jazz geht Baden

This week in Baden there was a Jazz festival called "Jazz geht Baden" where I went with my friends on Friday. A lot of really cool musicians were playing there for example Noldi Alder. I am not so much into the traditional Swiss music but he just performed it so well on his violin, with his singing and his amazing accuracy on the dulcimer! In addition with his jokes I think that it was the best performance of the evening.
We also heard Amok Amor, a group that plays really free Jazz and gave us a workshop in Wettingen in the afternoon. They played really well and had amazing skills on their instruments! But for me the music was too chaotic; it was like everyone showing off all of their skills. And the music did not really have a groove or melody..

Yesterday we went with the whole class to theatre in Baden. At the moment we read Amadeus, which is a story about Salieris perspective on Mozart. The actors performed so well and the story is really sad. So I need to admit that I loved it to bits!
