Fireworks, lots of fireworks!

On August 1st, the Swiss National Day, there are so many fireworks in every city, and, in my opinion, the one in Baden is one of the prettiest!

My friend and I have the perfect spot to watch it. You just lay on your back and look straight up in the sky.

This time I took my camera with me and the results were stunning!

Night Flight

Every two years there's this huge late night event at our school called musicnight. In many different spots outdoors on the school grounds are performances of all kinds. 

Yesterday, for example, the school orchestra was playing film music, I had two performances with the BigBand which were awesome, but there were also dance performances, singing and other musical acts.

The theme of yesterday's event was "Night Flight". It was all about flying and everyone was dressed up either as a captain or some other board crew. We also played a song called Night Flight. The food was lovely too, and there was even a bar inside a real old aeroplane part!

I was also flying with my drone at night because that just fit the topic perfectly. My friends Simon and David gave some RC-helicopter flying lessons next to me while I was live streaming to a huge tv screen with my drone.

Whilst flying around I took some more pictures of our school at day and night and I photographed the highway next to the school with long-time exposure so the cars would draw lines behind them.

New Store Decoration - Christmas Market - Frosty Cold Pictures

For every season my parents decorate the vitrine of my dad's store. Now there's a really cool winter theme with miniature figures on a tree out of branches with wonderful lights! It looks amazing, that's why I took a cool picture of it :D

(By the way, the lights flying away was made by taking a long-exposure and zooming out ;)

On Friday I went to a really nice market in the old town of Baden with my parents. The cool thing about it was that many ateliers and shops had their doors open and you could take a look around and talk to the owners.

On the street we met two teachers of my school and they told us that there's a really nice meet-up where immigrants cook, with a self made carousel, a warm fire and nice music; of course we wanted to go there! The food was really nice!

Later that evening I went to see the new Star Wars Rouge One which is a great movie and I really recommend it to you ;)

It also got very cold in the last days and every day there's a lot of frost on the plants, but unfortunately no snow yet.. But I took some pictures of the frost (:

Sailing in Croatia #2

After one week on the sailing boat we really started to be a good team. For example when we needed to park the ship or set anchor in a bay everyone knew their job and the workflow was great!

I really like sailing and I think that it has been a great experience! It is very calm, relaxing and at the same time you’ve got a lot of time to read or make music :) In the evenings my friend sometimes played on his little guitar together with me on a melodica which was real fun! Our skipper Johann was a really nice guy with a big portion of humour and we had a good time together! We also visited some other pretty cities like Hvar and Dubrovnik which I loved. I think when visiting a big city in another country you see and learn a lot about the culture and how the people live.

A little bit of lightning photography

Last week there were so many thunderstorms in our region. And I love them! I love sitting outside and watching the lightnings striking the ground. So I decided, since a friend asked me how I took these pictures in an older post, and I decided to take some more...

It's not an easy task because you need to check a lot of things and watch that your camera does not get wet if there's any rain. I often use the Interval-Time-Shooting mode on my Nikon. If you make, let's say a half minute exposure, you can tell the camera to start taking a picture again as soon as the last one is finished :)
